Weekly World Changer

Oprah Winfrey is most well known for her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, but she also has many other media holdings, including a book club, magazines, and multimedia website. She is the first African American woman to make the Forbes list of billionaires.
Through her Angel Network, Oprah Winfrey has raised $50 million for Third World schools, $10 million for Katrina relief and $1 million for tsunami aid. Because Winfrey personally covers the administrative costs, 100% of funds raised for the Angel Network goes to charity programs.
Winfrey also initiated a campaign for a national database for convicted child abusers. This campaign was motivated by her experiences of child abuse.

Weekly World Changer

Roberto Clemente, Was one of the best baseball players to ever play the game. He was involved in charity work in Puerto Rico and other Latin American countries, often delivering baseball equipment and food to them. His love for humanity and care for growing and struggling countries is what brought him to his short death on December 31, 1972. He was in route to help the earthquake victims of Nicaragua,when sudenly his plane crashed and still to this day his body was never recovered.

Japan Relief
The Tragic event in Japan recently recorded a world record of 18,000+ deaths due to the Magnitude of the 9.0 earthquake that spawned and monstrous Tsunami that slammed in the the small island. It is clear to see that the most recent deaths recorded is caused from the world itself, the most powerful thing around us. We need to pay more attention to what negative things go on in our environment and how we can bring it to an end.
